Sam Coughlin
Sam (Samikens) Coughlin
was born on March 6, 1989 with a tendency to strike inadement objects.
His parents observed this bizarre behavior for years trying to decide
how to cure their psychotic son. They later discovered that perhaps
they could harness the energy through process of music. At age 14 (the
age of little boy voice) Sam recieved a drumset and has since developed
his aggresive, wild-man like nature, into a methodical percussionist.
"Most people think that expression can only come through instruments
with strings, or through wind. My view, is that while those instruments
have the advantage of musical notes, a percussionist can equal that
expression through the complexity of rythyms. While musical notes are
the body of music, percussion is the heartbeat."
